Surface treatment and coating

The Commission’s working groups are: 

• Issues of standardization and regulations in surface treatment and coating, REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals) regulations, CEN and ISO organizations, means of action,
• Characterization of surface qualities technologies, progress in this domain
• Accelerated climate tests, their evolutions, helping with the appropriate testing methods, eventually eliminating obsolete tests
• Coatings obtained by thermal projection, the applications and preventions of corrosion, the representation at the standardized level in national and European levels.

These topics are discussed every meeting.

The technical papers presented at the work meetings are a balance between the important topics presented on laboratories, the on-site concerns expressed by users and industrialists, and the solutions proposed on the market by suppliers of coatings and surface treatments. 

The aim of this Commission is to be able to create a congress where all the actors of this domain will be able to discuss and debate, as it was the case at SURMAT, some years ago.
