The efficiency criteria of a cathodic protection in operation are founded on the value of the potential of steel in concrete, with regard to a reference electrode placed in the vicinity. It is the value with turned-off current (between -850 and -1050 mV/Cu-CuSO4) or the depolarization (potential higher than 100 mV after 4 hours, or 24 hours if we are in marine environment subject to tide).
